Henna Cones

Henna cones are 100% natural, made fresh to order. Henna paste is derived from leaves of the henna plant, also known as Lawsonia inermis. It produces a dark maroon to a brownish stain on the skin which naturally fades over the course of two weeks. Henna cones come with an open tip of 0.38mm and a pin inserted. Scents/essential oils are customizable. Please freeze your henna cones as soon as you receive your order.

Water and/or hydrosols (floral waters), organic henna powder, organic cane sugar, essential oils

STORAGE

Natural and organic henna paste has no preservatives which makes it a perishable product. It has a shelf life of about a week at room temperature. To make sure your henna paste lasts longer, store your henna cones in the freezer. When frozen, henna can last up to 6 months and still produce a dark stain. When you’re ready to use it again, just let it thaw for about 10-15 minutes. Try not to freeze and thaw more than 3-4 times.

AFTERCARE AND STAIN

Practicing proper aftercare is arguably the most important step in achieving a deep, dark stain. After applying the henna, keep it on the skin for at least 6 hours. The rule of thumb is, the longer you keep it on, the darker it gets. You can even leave it on overnight and remove it in the morning! When removing your henna paste, DO NOT use water. Instead, scrape it off using your nails, a butter knife, or even a plastic card. For any stubborn areas, soften the paste with coconut oil and remove. Your stain should initially be a bright orange color. Don’t fret! It will oxidize and darken over the next 48 hours. Try to avoid water for the next 12-24 hours. Washing your hands a couple of times is fine, but if you are showering, cover your stain with some gloves or a plastic bag. For the next 24-48 hours you can apply a natural oil, such as coconut or mustard seed oil, on your stain to protect it further. Remember, no two stains are equal, and different parts of your arm or body will stain differently. Enjoy!

RETURN & REFUND POLICY

Henna cone orders cannot be returned or refunded due to henna's perishable nature. Poor stain is usually a result of poor storage or aftercare. If you receive your packages damaged or late (1 week from ship date), reach out via email or Instagram. Replacements can be provided on a case by case basis.

DISCLAIMER

Henna is 100% natural and allergic reactions are extremely rare. If you have sensitive skin, are sensitive to essential oils, or if you are concerned about a reaction, perform a patch test on the inside of the wrist 24 hours prior to applying. Avoid henna if you have G6PD deficiency or have been advised to avoid Fava beans, are extremely anemic, or have citrus allergies. If you are pregnant, it’s best to consult your doctor before applying henna.
